This is me and the book called 1,2,3 to the Zoo.

We’ve been learning about Eric Carle.  He is a famous book writer.  Maybe some of you know about the book called 1,2,3 to the Zoo.  You might remember when you were a little boy or girl and your mom used to read it to you.  The book is about counting through 1 to 10.  You might see 2 hippopotamuses maybe a train driver.  You might want to check it out from your library.

Our Trip to the Nutcracker!

We were lucky enough to go to War Memorial Auditorium to see the Greensboro Ballet’s children’s version of The Nutcracker.  We decided to dress up fancy and make our field trip extra special.  Check out our beautiful and handsome children as they make their way to and from the ballet!

Ballet Comes to Peeler!

We were so lucky to have the Greensboro Ballet come to our school for a very special demonstration and performance this past December.  The whole school got to learn about how hard ballet dancers work and train to perform such beautiful pieces.  Our very own Cheniyah even got a chance to dance with them.  Watch the clips below and enjoy the beauty, strength, and power of these magical dancers!

Reflections on our Ballet Demonstration

After having the chance to “warm up” with members of the Greensboro Ballet and then participating in an interactive workshop and performance, our children reflected on what they saw, heard, and felt.  The following drawings are a part of this reflection:
